Jassen Tipton was convicted of Second-Degree Burglary and Theft By Unlawful Taking. Officers with the Wilmore Police Department initiated an immediate investigation after the burglary of a local residence. Observant neighbors were able to provide a description of the suspects and vehicle employed in the crime. After the pawning of property stolen from that home, officers identified Tipton as the suspect. He was sentenced to 15 years in jail.

Stephen Lunsford was convicted of two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First-Degree. After a traffic stop and a positive alert from the Nicholasville Police Department narcotics canine, he was found to be possessing a quantity of heroin. Before the final resolution of that case, he was located at a local hotel again possessing heroin. He was sentenced to a total of eight years in jail.

Jonathon Bolton was convicted of Fleeing or Evading the Police, First-Degree; Wanton Endangerment, First-Degree; and Receiving Stolen Property, Value $500.00 or More. Bolton was seen operating a stolen vehicle. When an officer with the Nicholasville Police Department attempted to pull him over, he led officers on a high-speed pursuit. Because of his actions, he created a substantial risk that motorists and the officers would suffer a serious physical injury. He apprehended and sentenced to five years in jail.

Andrew Harper was convicted of Wanton Endangerment and Fleeing or Evading the Police. He was located operating a motor vehicle while he was under the influence. When officers with the Nicholasville Police Department were attempting to effectuate a stop of that vehicle, he fled. He then collided into another motorist on the roadway. He was sentenced to five years in jail.

Matthew Morris was convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance and First-Degree Promoting Contraband. Morris was apprehended by employees at a local Kroger’s after attempting to shoplift. While he was being booked into the Jessamine County Detention Center, he was found to be possessing methamphetamine. He was further found to be attempting to introduce that drug into the jail’s population. He was sentenced to six years in jail.

Jerome Powell was convicted of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance. After an unrelated incident, Powell was detained on an open arrest warrant. A search of his person incident to that arrest revealed a significant quantity of cocaine. He was possessing that substance with the intent to traffic in it. He was sentenced to five years in jail.

Gregory Isaacs was convicted of Third-Degree Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was seen by neighbors unlawfully entering a backyard and a storage shed. Officer from the Nicholasville Police Department quickly responded to the scene. He was apprehended and found to be possessing stolen property and a quantity of heroin. He was sentenced to eight years in jail.

Jeremy Ramsey was convicted of two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance. After a traffic stop, he was found to be possessing a large quantity of methamphetamine. He was convicted of possessing that drug with the intent to sell or transfer it to another person. He was sentenced to seven years in jail.

Derrick Trent was convicted of Theft By Unlawful Taking, Value $500.00 or more. After an investigation into a theft from a local business, he was identified as the lead suspect. Because of the efforts of local law enforcement, he was apprehended and convicted of that crime. Based on that conviction and his prior criminal history, he was sentenced to eight years in jail.
