The Stars and Stripes were proudly displayed on Wilmore’s Main Street Tuesday morning for the traditional parade kicking off the town’s Festival of the Fourth festivities. Though the sun took a backseat to the rain clouds, spectators didn’t let the drizzle dampen their holiday mood. Especially the younger spectators, such as three-year-old Abbie Diddle shown at the left, who were all in agreement that damp candy was no less of a treat and that fun comes in all forecasts. This year’s event featured the community recognizing its Hometown Heroes for their efforts and service in keeping Small Town Charm safe and vibrant in Wilmore!
