Woman charged with arson and menacing in Jessamine Co.

A woman was arrested in Nicholasville last Monday in connection with a mobile home fire.
Rebecca Hatfield faces one count of 2nd degree arson and one count of menacing.
Jessamine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a suspicious female stealing from mailboxes on the morning of June 6. The deputies located the Hatfield and she allegedly produced
a knife, threatening them, said Sheriff Anthony Purcell in a phone interview with the Journal.
After the deputies detained Hatfield, they received a dispatch in relation to a 911 call about a mobile home fire on Lois Ln. that witnesses alleged that a woman matching Hatfield’s description set, Purcell said.
Surveillance footage from the area allegedly shows Hatfield walking away from the mobile home that was set on fire.
According to the Jessamine County Detention Center’s website, Hatfield is being there on a $5,000 bond. She is set to appear in court on June 15.
The case is still under investigation
