WesBanco Bank Announces the Sale of its Former Nicholasville Main Financial Center Location to the Jessamine County Fiscal Court

WesBanco has agreed to sell its former Nicholasville Main Financial Center, including most furniture, to the Jessamine County Fiscal Court.
The facility, located at 201 N. Main Street in Nicholasville, will be the new home for government offices, according to a press release from the company.
Jessamine Journal submitted an open records request this week to determine how much the county paid WesBanco. County responded that it paid $545,002.85 for the property.
Jessamine County and WesBanco closed on Tuesday, February 22 and the County has plans to transition the building over to government offices as soon as possible.
“With the purchase of a new facility comes a lot of excitement. The building will be providing the county much needed office space so that our employees can continue to provide services efficiently to residents,” Judge/Executive David West said in the release. “Jessamine County is growing, there has been a lot of development and change that we expect to continue. With a growing county comes the need to expand our space, staff and services to meet the needs of our community. The purchase of this building will allow us to do this and will provide us the space we need for the future.”
West added, “We are extremely grateful to WesBanco for approaching the county first before going on market. Their consideration gave us a great opportunity that will be beneficial to the community for years to come.”
