Nicholasville Police are investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles in the Orchard Subdivision and Ridgeview Drive areas.
According to Nicholasville Police Sgt. Kevin Grimes, 14 thefts have been reported since Wednesday.
“Various miscellaneous items have been reported missing,” said Grimes, “they took two handguns, and it seems anything else they could find laying around.”
All vehicles had been left unlocked, Grimes said. No suspects have been identified.
The department is also asking residents with home security systems in these areas to look for suspicious individuals in their video footage and report them to the police.
Police advise residents to keep their vehicle doors locked at all times.
