Lexington man arrested for DUI after attempting to operate vehicle stuck in mud

Charles H. Ratliff, 59, of 1081 E. New Circle Road #4 in Lexington, was arrested March 19 for DUI, failure of non-owner operator to maintain insurance, possession of open alcoholic container and possession of a controlled substance, according to a citation issued by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies observed Ratliff attempting to operate a vehicle stuck in the mud at 24 McDowell. Upon contact, deputies asked Ratliff to stop and shut off the vehicle several times before he noticed their presence, stopped and attempted to climb out of the passenger seat, according to the citation.

Ratliff allegedly had an open vodka container in the passenger set, and was described as confused with blood shot glassy eyes.

Ratliff also allegedly told deputies that he was intoxicated. Breathalyzer test results were .180.

Upon searching Ratliff, deputies located two small plastic bags in his front right pocket labeled “ezy dose pill bag,” which contained two doses of suspected Xanax in one bag, and three full unit doses along with two half doses in the other bag. When asked what they were, Ratliff stated, “Xanax.” He was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville man arrested for second-offense DUI

Antonine Ausseresses, 64, of 104 W. Walnut Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested  March 19 for a second offense DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

While investigating a fight in progress, officers learned Ausseresses drove a vehicle the wrong way on a one way road. Ausseresses was described as appearing manifestly under the influence. A field sobriety test was performed which Ausseresses failed. Breathalyzer test result was .111. Ausseresses was also convicted of a first-offense DUI on May 31, 2015. Ausseresses was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville man arrested for public intoxication

David Wayne Miller, 49, of 1711 E. Hickman Road in Nicholasville, was arrested on March 19 for alcohol intoxication in a public place, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the Jessamine County Medical Center for reports of a possible intoxicated subject. Once on scene, officers were informed Miller had left the premises and went to Walmart.

When officers arrived at Walmart they had Miller walk towards them and observed that he had difficulty walking, according to the citation.

Miller was described as dragging his feet and almost stumbling. Miller allegedly admitted to officers he had been drinking alcohol before arriving at the medical center with his uncle. Miller was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville woman arrested for possession of a controlled substance

Brooke N. Copas, 31, of 333 Williams Road in Nicholasville, was arrested March 19 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), promoting contraband and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Copas was arrested on a Jessamine County warrant. Prior to entering jail, Copas was asked if she had any drug paraphernalia on her and advised officers there was a pipe located in her bra, according to the citation.

Upon searching Copas, officers located a glass pipe and a piece of aluminum foil containing an unknown white powdery substance and allegedly told officers the drugs and paraphernalia belonged to her roommate, according to the citation. Copas told officers she was “too embarrassed” to inform them about the drugs prior to entering the detention center, and was unsure of the substance but it was possible it was methamphetamine.

Nicholasville man arrested for criminal trespassing at EJHS

Collin Gage Bear, 19, of 209 Davis Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 20 for third-degree criminal trespassing, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Bear entered East Jessamine High School knowing he had no right to do so and was observed wearing a black pack and had the hood on his hoodie up in order to conceal his identity.

Bear entered the front office and walked directly up to the sign in/out table writing the name “Tyler Anderson” on the sheet to conceal his identity and gain further access to the building. After being notified of his presence in the hallway, officers and the assistant principal made contact with Bear who admitted he had no right to be in the building, although wanted to visit some former teachers.

Bear was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville woman arrested for DUI

Merari Arguelles Tackett, 36, of 1210 Highpoint Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 23 for DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers observed Tackett operating a vehicle southbound on US  27 and reported Tackett had difficulty keeping the vehicle in the left lane on the highway and watched as the vehicle crossed the white dashed line twice with both passenger side tires. When turning on South Main Street, officers observed Tackett cross the yellow dividing line two separate times with both driver’s side tires.

Tackett was stopped and admitted to consuming one glass of wine. A field sobriety test was performed, which Tackett failed. Tackett was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center where she refused to sign implied consent, according to the citation.

— Jennifer Sebastian, 42, of 231 Rebel Road in Nicholasville, was arrested March 19 for speeding 14 mph over the limit, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense) and operating on suspended or revoked operating license.

— Lajancin A. Penman, 23, of 321 Miles Road in Nicholasville, was arrested March 19 for non-payment of court costs, fines or fees.

— David A. Firster, 22, of 1052 Pinoak Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 19 for non-payment of court costs, fees or fines.

— Claude E. Atwell, 49, of 2203 Shun Pike in Nicholasville, was arrested March 20 for failure to appear.

— John A. Hendren, 49, of 232 Hawthorne in Nicholasville, was arrested March 20 for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) with no visible injury.

— Misty Lancaster, 36, of 218 Christopher Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 20 for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) with minor injury.

— Nathan C. Peel, 36, of 2190 McGee Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested March 23 for possession of controlled substance (first offense, methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

— Shawn T. Hendron, 37, of 8601 Tates Creek Road #1 in Nicholasville, was arrested on March 23 for contempt of court, libel/slander and resistance to order.

— Heather Bullock, 42, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested on March 23 for failure to appear.

— Hunter Alexander Blain, 19, of 325 Savanna Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested on March 23 for a probation violation.

— Logan Coziur, 30, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested on March 23 for possession of controlled substance first degree first offense heroin and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

— Donna Jones, 47, of 912 New Haven Road in Nicholasville, was arrested on March 25 for theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others under $500 and failure to appear and for receiving stolen property under $500.
