Community should always be thankful for work of our law enforcement officers

I must compliment a member of the Nicholasville Police Department. Actually, we are blessed to have such an officer in the department.
I live on Orchard Drive and I was taking my two dogs outside at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. We have two small holes in our wooden fence around our backyard. All of a sudden, one of our dogs started barking near one of the holes. I went over to see what he was barking about, shining my flashlight through the hole.
I saw an angel standing there.
It was a police officer who asked, “Is anything wrong? I just saw the flashlight and wanted to check your backyard.”
I felt so safe, so secure that he was there checking. I told him he was an angel, that God is always watching over me. He said “Ma’am, you have made my day.”
I don’t know the officer’s name but I know God knows. He was so polite, sweet and angelic. He said “Merry Christmas,” and I wished him and his family a Merry Christmas!
I will never forget seeing that precious blue uniform that keeps us safe. Please, everyone be kind and respectful to our wonderful police officers as they care so much for all of us.
