— First Assembly of God and friends will host the Kid’s Harvest Fun Fest on Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. The location for the event will be on First Street behind the Court House. There will be games for kids and adults, candy, lots of prizes, gospel material and a prayer tent for anyone who would like to talk of have a prayer. — St. Luke Catholic Church, located at 304 S. Main Street in Nicholasville, will be offering classes about the Catholic faith at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning on Sept. 6. These classes are open to everyone who would like to learn about the Catholic Church. — The Wilmore Free Methodist Church, located at 1200 Lexington Rd. in Wilmore, invites the public to a seminar series entitled, “A Christian Eye Toward World Religions.” This remainder of the five-week series provides a panoramic view of the history, beliefs, and practices of each religion and a comparison between the religion and Christianity. Dates and topics are as follows: Nov. 26 — Mormonism and Jehovah’s Witnesses and Dec. 10 — New Age Cults. Each class will take place during the Sunday School hour, 9:40 to 10:40 a.m., in Room B203.
The church also invites the public to a marriage series based on Gary Thomas’ bestselling book entitled Sacred Marriage: What If God Designed Marriage to Make Us Holy More Than to Make Us Happy? This six-week series will be Wednesday nights from October 11 through November 15 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
