For the first time ever, the Jessamine County Art League hosted “We Teach–We Create” an art exhibit that gives those who educate others about art, the opportunity to showcase their own. Eleven teachers from all over Kentucky brought a variety of mediums from photography to painting with coffee to the exhibit at the Polvino Family Art Center in Nicholasville on Friday. The educators from Jessamine County include Staci Goggins from Rosenwald Elementary, Miles Johnson from Warner Elementary, Hope Soch from Brookside Elementary, Laura Weinberger from East Jessamine Middle and Alex Bustetter from East Jessamine High. Other participants from outside of the county include Ilona Szekley from Eastern Kentucky University, Kim Soule from Greenwood High School, Jennifer Sims from Munfordville Elementary, Jacqueline Bryan from South Oldham High School and Claudia Banahan from Southern Elementary.
