Emily Gail Colbath Fitch, of Wilmore, KY, died of heart complications in Lexington, KY on January 6, 2024. She was born in Hapeville, GA 1939 to Adrian and Violet Colbath. Emily attended LaGrange College before transferring to Asbury College to study Art and met the love of her life, James Leonard Fitch. Through this meeting she became a Kentucky transplant and a true example of the Proverbs woman. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Don Colbath, brother-in Law Theorin Rockhill, her son Adrian Dru, and grandson John Cullen. She is survived by her husband James Leonard, daughter Stephanie Fitch, son Christopher James Fitch (Kelly), son James Fitch, Jr. (Michelle) and daughter-in-law Jennifer Fitch (Adrian Dru); grandchildren Audrey Fitch, Amelia Fitch (Edgar Halcomb), Anna Fitch, Susanna Boggs, Alicia Tyner (Thomas), Grahm Hoffart (Kaitlyn), Chandler Fitch, Lyndsay Donnelly (Ian), Gentry Fitch, Asher Fitch, Elizabeth Fitch, Emma Harrison (Davis), and Katherine Smith (Tyler); Sister Adrianna Colbath; Sisters-in-Law Norma Colbath (Don), Johanna Strange, Lila Walker (Rodney), and Claribelle Rockhill; Brothers-in-law Fred Fitch and Johnny Fitch; family friend Sandra O’Connor; and eleven great-grandchildren Visitation is Friday, January 12th from 4 to 7 pm at GCF Vineyard in Wilmore, 209 E Main St, Wilmore, and memorial service will be held at GCF Vineyard on Saturday, January 13th at 11 am.
