Republican Party celebrates annual Lincoln Day Dinner

The annual Jessamine County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner was held at the One Oak Wedding Venue on Friday, April 28.

Over 215 guests attended an evening of speakers from the vast gubernatorial candidate list as well as those running for constitutional offices. Tim Vaughan and State Rep. Matt Lockett served as the emcees for the evening.

U.S. Congressman Andy Barr spoke to the group about recent legislation updates from Washington, D.C.

Several local businesses donated silent auction items. Party officials said they were thankful for the donations, which numbered over 40 items.

Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes and his wife, Olivia, were awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Jessamine County Republican Party.
