Fall 2022 will be nuttier in Jessamine County thanks to the folks from KCAL Old Time Radio Troupe.
The troupe’s fall show – titled “Mixed Nuts” – hits the stage in September and will run from the 16th-18th. On Friday and Saturday, the shows are at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday the show is at 2:30 p.m. A Saturday matinee may be added if the three available shows sell out. Intermission refreshments will be available for free at the shows, including homemade treats for the audience.
“The KCAL Fall show is called ‘Mixed Nuts’ and will feature 2 comedy episodes. One will be from ‘The Life of Riley’ radio show, the other from ‘The Great Gildersleeve’ radio show. This show will feature a fun surprise that will show just how versatile our ‘mixed nuts’ (the KCAL troupe members) really are!” Doug Fain, a member of the KCAL team, said.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the ticket office at 859-885-5363.
KCAL is a non-profit founded in 2014 that, according to its Facebook page, “recreates old time radio shows the way they were originally performed back in the 40s and 50s. Anything from mysteries to comedies to dramas with period clothing, sound effects, original commercials and music.”
