Nicholasville police seeking suspect following a fatal hit and run

A man has died from injuries sustaine during a hit and run on U.S. 27 over the weekend.
At around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, Nicholasville politce responded to a report regarding an adult male who had been struck by vehicle on U.S. Highway 27 just before Brannon Road. The individual died from his injuries.
Based on evidence left behind from the scene, officers believe the suspect was driving a black 2010-2014 Landrover Lr4 Discovery. Police have located a vehicle they believe may have been involved in the incident.
“We found a vehicle that we think might be the same one in the hit and run, but we can’t say with 100 percent certainty at this time,” said Sgt. Kevin Grimes, public information office with the Nicholasville Police Department. “I do want to thank those those who have provided information and ask that you keep up with the [Nicholasville Police Department] Facebook page for further updates.”
No arrests have been made. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
