From staff reports
Lord’s Legacy sent Jessamine County residents off in style to the annual JESUS Prom earlier this month where volunteers helped style hair, do make-up and paint nails for participants.
Family and community members also volunteered to help with snacks, take photos and make the participants of this year’s event feel special.
“None of this would be possible without caring family members, community volunteers and professionals like Shalah of Studio Creations who closes her shop in Wilmore on a busy Friday afternoon to come and make our participants feel and look beautiful.” said Community Relations Director for Lord’s Legacy Christine Endicott “We’d like to thank everyone for helping us to make it a successful event.”
Endicott said participants look forward to the giant “Mega Party Bus” every year which can hold up to 30 people. Staff, parents and volunteers also lined up outside to cheer for each person as their names were called and they walked to the bus.
