LEXINGTON —Alltech, in Nicholasville, has been recognized with the 2018 Aviation Achievement Award by the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame.

The award will be presented Oct. 27 at the annual Aviation Hall of Fame banquet held at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky at the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.

The Alltech website states the firm “bridges the gap between science and sustainability.”

That gap operationally means 128 offices around the globe and a team of 6,000 people. The use of business aircraft by Alltech to reach its world-wide facilities epitomizes the several primary attributes of business aviation. Saving time, enhancing productivity, supporting travel needs, controlling schedules, and enriching the entrepreneurial spirit are some of the accomplishments made by the flight department of Alltech.

The two aircraft flown by Alltech, an executive type jet with long range and a turboprop for shorter flights, are considered an optimal combination of efficiency and comfort for a company of its size and expanse.

Alltech will be recognized along with Brig. Gen. Jesse Auton of Demossville in Pendleton County; Lt. Cmdr. David R. Berry of Owensboro; Lt. Col. The Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame has recognized the achievements of individuals, businesses and organizations since 1996 and is the official aviation hall of fame for the Commonwealth. The Aviation Museum of Kentucky has served the Commonwealth since 1995 and operates as an independent 501 (3)c non-profit corporation.
