Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter meeting
The Daughters of the American Revolution announced it will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Central Bank Building, located at 301 N. Main St. in Nicholasville.
Wilmore Arts and Crafts Festival Saturday
The 21st annual Wilmore Arts and Crafts Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on East Main Street. Approximately 53 vendors will line the street showcasing their handcrafted works. Those who attend can listen to a variety of live music which starts at 9:30 a.m and lasts throughout the day near the rail tracks. The farmer’s market and the Caboose Railside Museum will be open, as well as East Main Street merchants. Children can enjoy free horse rides on the nearby Downtown Green between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. provided by the Asbury University Equine Center. Rain venue will be The Providence School at 210 S. Lexington Ave.
Head Start presents ‘Trunk or Treat’
Head Start, located at 1330 Drake Lane in Wilmore, will host a ‘Trunk or Treat’ event from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29. Those who join are asked to decorate the trunk of their car and bring some candy. More than 100 people are estimated to be in attendance. For more information or to RSVP call 858-2585.
Jessamine DUI offers education program
The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. Well nutrition hosts Body Recall
Carolyn Walter will teach her exercise class “Body Recall,” from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice at The Well Nutrition, located at 123 Orchard Drive. Walters is a 23-year teacher. All are welcome. For more information, call 859-548-8203 or 859-241-3552.
