Lena Harrod Wade, 103, of Wilmore, Kentucky, passed peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital on May 17, 2025. Lena was born on May 10, 1922, in Franklin County, Kentucky, to the late Houston and Rhoda Harrod. She was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. R. Wade, Jr., and brother, Allan Harrod. Lena is survived by her son, Bob Wade (Sheila) of Versailles; daughter, Threasa Wade Bolton of Murray; grandchildren, Heather Bolton Bell (Doug) of Murray, Jason Wade and Joshua Wade of Versailles; great-grandchildren, Dalton Wade of Versailles, Dylan Bell and Lydia Bell of Murray; two brothers, Mason Harrod (Avenelle) of Maysville, and William “Bill” Harrod of Alton, Kentucky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Susan Reed officiating, in Frankfort, Kentucky. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Wade, Joshua Wade, Dalton Wade, Doug Bell, Dylan Bell, and Tommy Harrod. Lydia Bell will serve as an honorary bearer.
