Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified trained volunteers will be present to help individuals and families prepare and file their taxes at no cost.

This event results from the IRA’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to help eligible individuals who would otherwise pay to complete their taxes.

Eligible individuals include:

  • People who generally make $67,000 or less
  • Persons with disabilities; and
  • Limited English-speaking taxpayers

Attendees must bring the following documents:

  • A photo ID for themselves and their spouse (if filing jointly)
  • Social Security cards for themselves, their spouse, and any dependents
  • All wage and earning statements, such as Forms W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, and 1099-MISC from all employers
  • Both spouses must be present to sign the required forms if filing a married-filing-joint return electronically.

According to a press release for the event, “This one-day event is designed to ease the tax filing burden for individuals and families and ensure access to eligible tax credits and refunds.”
