Carolyn Sue Carter Davis, 81, of Nicholasville, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at her home. Born on July 14, 1943, in Berea, KY, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Martha Hall Carter. Carolyn was baptized at a young age and was raised in Mt Vernon, KY. She graduated from Rockcastle County High School in 1961. That same year she married the love of her life, Bill Davis. Together that year they moved to Lexington where they raised their family and later settled in Nicholasville. Carolyn and Bill achieved the American dream of owning a small business and opened Southland Printing in 1976 on Southland Drive. Carolyn managed accounting services and personnel, while Bill ran production and crafted the art of platemaking and offset printing. Carolyn retired in 2015, but under their leadership, Southland Printing continues to thrive today, employing over 25 team members. After retiring Carolyn enjoyed traveling and spending time in Sun City, South Carolina. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her Bichon, Emmie Lou. Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years Bill Davis, her sister Sharon Coffey (Howard), her brother Kenny (Pam), and her brother in-law Mike Bridges. She leaves behind four children: daughter Lura Dauer (John Dauer), daughter Dana Rose (Wade Rose), son Mike Davis (Krystal), and daughter Alicia Broadwater (MG Jeff Broadwater U.S. Army, Retired), 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah, the former wife of Mike Bridges. Services will be March 29, 2025, at Redeemer Community Church, 371 Hill-N-Dale Dr., Lexington, KY 40503. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM. Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40504.
