Marty Seitz, 68, beloved husband of Judy Traina Seitz, died on Friday, March 7, 2025 at UK Albert Chandler Hospital after several heart surgeries. He was born in Winchester, VA, to the late Martin G. and Oneida Seitz. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy, children Jennifer Rebecca Reynolds (LFUCG Councilmember), and Matthew (Mandi) Seitz, and grandchildren Isaac Reynolds and Henri and Jane Seitz, as well as his three siblings.
Marty taught psychology at Asbury University for 32 years and worked as a valued and respected counseling psychologist in the Lexington area. He cared deeply for his students and clients as he did for his family. He loved coffee, the beach, swimming, watching movies, reading lots and lots of books, and recommending them to others. One of his favorite roles was that of Abuelito/Grandpa to his three grandchildren.
His memorial service will be held at St. Luke Church, 2351 Alumni Dr., Lexington, KY 40517 on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12 pm with visitation immediately prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12 pm.
