Jessamine County Schools holding non-traditional instruction today

Today, Tuesday, Jan. 21 will be Non-traditional instruction (NTI) Day 6 for Jessamine County schools according to the district’s Facebook page.
“Our team has been hard at work assessing road conditions today and has identified several areas with ice, making these roads too hazardous for our buses to travel safely. With additional freezing likely to occur overnight and a cold weather advisory in effect for tomorrow morning, student safety remains our top priority. Traveling to alternate bus stops and waiting in the predicted temperatures could pose additional risks. We are taking every precaution to ensure the well-being of our students and staff,” read a post on the Jessamine County Schools Facebook.
Childcare a Nicholasville Elementary School will still be open for students who are pre-registered for NTI care.
Athletic Directors will communicate about athletic practices and games.
