Press Release by State Representative House District 45 Adam Moore

Submitted article

In the 31 months since the Dobbs decision, the Republican supermajority in Frankfort has had the power to pass any bill they choose. Yet, they have done nothing to provide options for Kentucky mothers facing nonviable pregnancies. As a State Representative, I cannot stand by while families endure unnecessary suffering. When the legislature reconvenes in February, I will co-sponsor legislation to address this urgent issue.

Your government leaders should ensure that mothers carrying nonviable pregnancies have access to the medical options they need to protect their physical and emotional well-being. Right now, our restrictive laws force women to leave the state for necessary care, compounding their pain and placing undue financial and emotional burdens on them and their families. This is about compassion and common sense-Kentucky families deserve better.

Our laws should reflect humanity and decency. This isn’t about politics; it’s about doing what’s right. I’m committed to fighting for every Kentucky family so that no mother has to endure what so many have faced since Dobbs. Together, we can bring about the change our state so desperately needs.
