On Wednesday, Dec. 18, Jessamine County Circuit Clerk Doug Fain was sworn into his fifth six-year term as Jessamine County Circuit Clerk by Jessamine County Circuit Judge Hunter Daugherty. Fain was first sworn in by Judge Robert Jackson on November 6, 1998. His next term starts January 1, 2025, and ends December 31, 2030.
“Jessamine County and its citizens have always been so good to me and my family. It has been my pleasure to be of service to its constituents. My deputies and I look forward to continuing that service for the next six years,” Fain said.
According to Kycourts.org, Circuit Court Clerks manage the records of their county’s Circuit and District Trial Courts. These clerks receive lawsuits and court documents, record legal documents, provide legal documents and other materials, and present during trials. They also schedule juries, receive and disburse monies, maintain the jury system, administer oaths, and handle affidavits. One circuit clerk is elected for each county.
Fain is also a co-director and producer at KCAL Old Time Radio and is the host of the weekday morning radio show from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on 105.9 FM
