Thomas Andrew “Redbone” Preston of Lancaster KY, 71, loving husband to Angela Heckman Preston, left his earthly home on Thursday, December 26, 2024. He was born on July 12, 1953 in Jessamine County. Tommy was one of four children born to the late Monnie Bullock Preston and John Thomas Preston. While his profession was truck driving, he truly enjoyed all things outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads, pitching horseshoes with friends, Squatching, and watching the skies for UFOs. In his later years, TV became his favorite pastime, where he enjoyed watching others fish, the Little League World Series each year, and anything related to the paranormal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angie; his daughters Kimberly Willoughby (David) and Amanda Preston-Shinn (Scott); grandchildren Justin Willoughby (Sylvia), Jack Willoughby, Jacob Willoughby (Makenzie), Jessmyn Willoughby (John), Olivia Bicknell, Samantha Shinn (Jessee), Grace Shinn, Hayes Preston, and Joley Shinn; great-grandchildren Cannon, Esmae, Riley, Zaiden, Jaxon, Payton, and Julianna Willoughby, Ellie Hommen-Roddy, Mercy James, and Ronin King. He will also be remembered by his sister-in-law, Phyllis Preston, along with many extended family members and friends.
Tommy will also be met at The River by his brothers Charles and James Preston, sister Joyce Steele, and granddaughter Faith Willoughby. A Remembrance Service was held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 30, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Stipe presiding. His family greeted friends from 11:00 AM Monday until the 1:00 PM service. He was laid to rest in Burgin Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
