JCPL’s Second Annual Artisan Fair to be held December 14, 2024

Jessamine County Public Library is hosting the second annual JCPL Artisan Fair on Saturday, December 14, from 10 am to 3 pm.

During the Artisan Fair, there will be a diverse group of local artists, each demonstrating their unique crafts and offering their exquisite wares for sale. There will be opportunities to browse and purchase one-of-a-kind items, from hand-thrown pottery to bespoke jewelry and beyond.

Demonstrations will include: cookie decorating by BakeMiaCake, yarn spinning by Alyssa Kilanowski, needle felting by Dana Wolford, glass blowing by Mobile Glass Studios, crochet by Brianna DeWitt, and pottery by ARJO Pottery Collective.

“Our goal is to provide local artists and craftsmen/women an opportunity to share their creations with the community and to cultivate interest in their creative process by having them demonstrate their work,” says Kate Irwin, Programming Coordinator of Special Events.  “We want to give everyone who attends this event the opportunity to become makers and to discover their creative potential. We have tremendous local talent in and around Jessamine County, and we can’t wait to see it in action!”

Also this week is the annual KCAL Old Time Radio Christmas Show. 

The 7:30 p.m. KCAL shows on Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, along with the 2:30 p.m. show on Sunday, Dec. 15, are all sold out. To get on a waiting list to enjoy the comedic holiday show with homemade treats, call 859-885-5363 to be put on a waiting list.
