Closure Scheduled on Ashgrove Road/KY-1980

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) notified motorists of a scheduled closure for Ashgrove Road/KY-1980.
The closure started on Monday, August 5, and will last through 8 a.m. Monday, August 19. It is located right off of U.S. 27 on milepoints 6.41 and 6.68.
According to the KYTC press release, the project is necessary to “rebuild the curve in the roadway.”The release also states that detour signage has been posted.
The detour from Tates Creek Road/KY 1974 leads motorists to take East Brannon Road/KY 3900 and turn left onto Lexington Road/U.S. 27.
To access the eastern part of Ashgrove Road, the detour leads motorists to turn right onto East Brannon Road/KY 3900 with the detour ending on Ashgrove Road.
