Staff Report
Starting on Tuesday, April 23, the Jessamine County Public Library (JCPL) is hosting an Arts Walk installation, featuring the work of Jessamine County student artists.
The installation will be celebrated with an opening event this upcoming Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Jessamine County Courthouse. Light refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to hear from Judge Executive David West and Jessamine County School District Arts Coordinator, Amy Harrod.
According to a news release, the Arts Walk is a partnership between the Jessamine County Arts Programs, the Jessamine County Public Library and the Jessamine County Fiscal Court.
Immediately following the reception and through the end of May, visitors can see the Courthouse lawn adorned with beautiful artwork & hear incredible music created by our very own Jessamine County students. The Arts Walk collection will also be available online following the reception.
Kate Irwin, Programming Coordinator of Special Events, said, “The Arts Walk is a unique opportunity for JCPL to join in partnership with other community organizations such as the County Fiscal Court, to support and celebrate art and the kids in our community.”
