Staff Report
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has released a press release providing information about upcoming striping operations in Kentucky District 7.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties.
The refreshed striping on the road will help improve roadway visibility throughout the 24-hour day and through different weather conditions.
This operation will allow motorists to pass through active work zones, only at a slightly slower speed than usual during road work. Appropriate signage will be in place on mobile vehicles to alert motorists when a road work area is approaching.
The striping started on Monday, April 15 and will continue through Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Striping operations will take place from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays (times are approximate) for counties in District 7 (excluding Fayette County) and from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. for Interstate 75, Interstate 64, and Fayette County.
Work could be scheduled on the weekends and could extend past August 15. Times are also approximate, so some mornings could start earlier, and some evenings could go later.
Motorists should direct any concerns to: www.paintoncarclaims.com
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
As winter ends and the warmer months approach us, there will be more road work projects coming up in Jessamine County. Stay tuned for updates.
