Jacquelynn “Jackie” Jackson Tankersley passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital with her devoted husband Clay at her side. She was born on February 7, 1938, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Henry Lee and Rosalind Reynolds Jackson. She worked faithfully at Delta Gas for 52 years and was a member of Clays Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Clay, and son Allen Clay. Jackie married the love of her life 61 years ago, and they enjoyed every minute of it. If you were with Jackie and Clay, you were surrounded by love, laughter, family, and friends. Jackie is also survived by her granddaughter Katelynn, who has been such a special joy in her life, their best friend Clay Corman, who has been like a brother, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who are all left to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patty Jackson Davidson and Margaret Jackson Brandenburg, and a brother, William “Billy” Jackson. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Fugate officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
