Hey, everyone! As a Jessamine County native, many of you may know me or have seen me around town. Anyway, I will introduce myself regardless. My name is Carrie Hudson and I am the newest intern reporter at The Jessamine Journal.

Currently, I am a sophomore at Morehead State University studying Media Production and Journalism. Besides classes, I serve as the Philanthropy Chair for the Student Alumni Ambassadors and work for Morehead State Public Radio. Following graduation, I plan to pursue a career in journalism or library sciences. By my career aspirations, I’m sure you can infer my interests include writing and reading. Outside of that, I enjoy geocaching and exploring the many hiking trails in central Kentucky.

In town, you will most likely catch me browsing the movie aisle of the public library, specifically the new movie shelf, taking my dog to the dog park, or at a coffee shop reading. While away for college, the coziness of Jessamine County was something I missed the most.
