A well-known man who dedicated his life to farming, Charles “Bobby” Conn left his earthly home on Friday, May 12, 2023. He was born Nov. 6, 1938, to the late Elliott T. and Edith Hardin Conn in Clover Bottom, KY. Bobby was a hard-working person who was a former employee of CMC, Thompson and Shearer, RJ Tobacco Warehouse, Carey & Adams, Allen Company and the Rock Quarry over his many years. He leaves to cherish memories his loving wife of 41 years, Billie Jean Conn, daughter Bobbie Jo Monroe, husband Walter, sons James Scott Conn, wife Missy, and John William Conn, wife Michelle; grandchildren Jessica Monroe and Jarrod Conn; great grandchildren Shane and London Young, Paisley and Levi Conn; great great grandson Able Young. He will be missed by his brother-in-law Jonny Richardson, wife Charlotte, and special friends Clay Corman, Leonard Fitch, and Donald Cheek, and his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Dinky Conn. A Service of Remembrance will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. The family greeting friends beginning at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, at the funeral home. Bobby will be laid to rest on his beloved farm in Wilmore. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Rusty Wayne, Jackie Corman, Jo Pat Johnson, Craig Roger, Ben Riffle, and Chris Riggs. Honorary bearers will be Charlie Conn, Sammy Conn, Clay Corman, Dwight Blakeman, Ben Rainwater, Rodney Moss, Frank Daugherty, Jeff Carroll, Chris Reynolds, Leonard Fitch, Freddie Boswell, and Ricky Poor. The family suggest donations be made in his memory to the Jessamine County Antique Fam and Machinery Club, 636 Barefoot Dr., Wilmore, KY 40390. “His life was blessing, his memory a treasure; he was loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure.” Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values the trust and loyalty given to us to care for Bobby’s arrangements and his family.
