Jeffrey Wayne Barnett, 64, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at his home on West Maple Street, Nicholasville. He was born in Lexington on August 2, 1958, to the late Henry Barnett and Henrietta Walker Smith. Jeffrey was a retired electrician for the City of Nicholasville. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Zack (Tyra) Barnett; daughter, Morgan Adams; his stepfather, Shirley Smith; and grandchildren, Conner Barnett, Haylee Barnett, Caden Adams, and Kamryn Manning. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 12, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Lee Hagewood officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, where bearers will be Joe Walker, Randy East, David Moores, Dave Brown, Chris Walker, and Danny Carpenter. His grandchildren will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
