A man wanted in a Nicholasville assault case has been arrested according to a social media statement by the Nicholasville Police Department Thursday.
The NPD issued a prior social statement during the early hours of Thursday morning seeking the public’s help in locating Alfredo Angel Delgado who allegedly shot a clerk at the Homeplace Inn in Nicholasville. Officers responded to the call around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday night and found the clerk conscious.
The clerk was able to provide information that helped police in the investigation, according to the first social media statement. Delgado was reported to have been driving a grey 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.
According to another social media release posted later Thursday, the NPD announced that it worked with the U.S. Marshal’s Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force to try and located Delagdo. Law enforcement knew that Delgado had ties to New York state and through cooperation with the U.S. Marshall’s in New York and state police in Kentucky and New York, Delgado was located and arrested at a camping retail store in the Syracuse, New York area.
According to the release, Delgado is facing extradition back to Kentucky.
