The final autopsy report for former Jessamine County Sheriff Kevin Corman has been released.
Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes said that the sheriff passed away due to “natural cases”.
According to Hughes, the autopsy showed the cause of death was hypertensive cardiovascular disease, and that underlying conditions such as type 2 diabetes and obesity also contributed to the sheriff’s untimely passing. The toxicology reports found there was no traces of drugs or alcohol in Corman’s system when he died.
Corman served as sheriff from 2006 until his passing on May 22 and was a long-time deputy before his election. He was buried his family farm located off Poortown Rd. on May 27.
