NICHOLASVILLE — Jessamine County Public Library (JCPL), in partnership with Jessamine County’s Ready to Learn Committee, invites county residents to sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a free book-gifting program that provides a hand-picked, high-quality book each month to registered children from birth to age five.

“JCPL is so pleased to partner with the Ready to Learn Committee to ensure every young child in our community has access to books that they can call their own,” said Sarah Underwood, Children’s Librarian at JCPL. “We hope this program will foster a lifetime love of reading and learning in our kids.”

Andrea Neilsen of the Ready to Learn Committee added, “In Jessamine County, we have been working hard to promote quality early learning experiences for children that will help them be more successful when they start school. These books will nurture vocabulary and language skills, promote meaningful interactions, and encourage children to learn about their world.”
