As most kids know, school was canceled Thursday and Friday, but keep on top that homework because it’s not like the old days when teachers didn’t have email or web pages. Back then, a snow day meant a holiday. These days, eh, you better do your math homework.
Please keep pets inside safe because the cold weather is dangerous. Remember, though Lassie has fur, that doesn’t mean he or she can’t feel the cold.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 41. Wind chill values as low as 2. East wind 6 to 9 mph becoming south in the afternoon. And there will be some showers, mainly after 1 am. Low around 37. South wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
