A woman involved in the collision on Nicholasville Road Friday morning has been pronounced dead.

Nicholasville Police said Naomi Niles, 65, reportedly died at the University of Kentucky hospital, where she was taken after the accident.

The Fayette County Coroner lists her cause of death as blunt-force trauma.

Police said the accident occurred when a red truck hit a telephone pole, causing it to fall onto the vehicle Friday morning (Nov 12) on US 27 near Catnip Hill. The accident temporarily closed northbound traffic to one lane.

As of this writing, an incident report has yet to be released.
