Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that, as teacher Mark Heard of West Jessamine Middle puts it, “unleashes the power of radical generosity.” On Tuesday, Nov. 30, businesses are invited to donate supplies to West Jessamine’s youth service center to help local students and families in need.
“Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as just a simple idea,” Heard explained. “It’s a day that encourages people to do good. I’ve gotten in contact with several businesses to help support the event.”
The Youth Service Center needs donations of the following items:
- Coats

- Womens and Mens Underwear in various sizes
- Sports Bras in various sizes
