Nicholasville enjoyed the return of the Jessamine Fall Festival Sept. 24 – 25, persisting through even Saturday morning’s drizzle. Local vendors, concessions, entertainment, and festivities were present throughout the event. The Fall Festival ran from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Friday’s visitors enjoyed the free petting zoo and live music from Why RedBird, an acoustic Americana duo from Nicholasville. The festival opened on Saturday with a performance of the National Anthem by the East and West Jessamine school choirs, along with participation from Guard Post 63 of the American Legion. Saturday was also host to the farmers market, health fair, car show, talent show, another performance by Why RedBird, and live music by Ben Lacey.
