John Luchau, 76, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. He was born March 21, 1945 in Salem, Oregon. John served in the US Navy for 28 years and was a Vietnam veteran. He and his wife, Christie, moved to Nicholasville in 2017 from Kea’au, Hawaii, where they had lived since his retirement. John quickly adapted to life in Kentucky, where he enjoyed hiking, bicycling, canoeing and attending antique car shows with his ‘46 Ford. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Laura Luchau, brothers Wes (Ennetta), Clark (Marlene), and sister Gail Miller, along with numerous nieces and nephews, who are all west coast residents.
