One killed in crash on Ky. 169

A woman has died in a single-car accident on Keene Road (Ky. 169) in northern Jessamine County.
County Coroner Michael Hughes identified the victim Thursday as Gidget Whitehouse, 56, of Boyle County.
The accident happened Wednesday. Hughes said he got the call about the crash at 12:25 p.m. and pronounced the victim dead when he arrived on the scene.
His initial investigation indicates the person died of blunt force trauma.
Hughes said the car ran off the road and struck a fence.
Hughes said the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office worked the accident.
About 1:45 p.m., the sheriff’s Facebook page said the accident occurred just past The Paddock.
The roadway was shut down from the accident scene to Harrodsburg Road (U.S. 68).
Hughes could not yet say Thursday what funeral home would be handling the arrangements.
