Jessamine County Schools held an opening day program at Southland Christian Church Monday to kick of the school year and also name its excellence in education winners who will represent JCS and serve as nominees for the Kentucky Teacher of the Year award. They are Jordan Ciolek, of Warner Elementary and Jessica Stacy Blair, of East Jessamine Middle School; Kayla Williams, of Jessamine Career and Technology Center.
