Nicholasville woman arrested for heroin
Heather M. Sowers, 40, of 129 Lone Oak Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 19 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers observed Sowers leaving Liberty Street with a subject in the passenger seat who was known to have a warrant out for their arrest. A traffic stop was conducted and Sowers was asked to step out of the vehicle. She was informed the house she just left was a known drug location.
Sowers allegedly advised officers she did not have any narcotics on her or in her vehicle. Officers conducted a search of her vehicle and located heroin inside of her purse. An orange pill, believed to be Suboxone, was also located, as well as numerous syringes inside the vehicle.
Sowers was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
On April 27, Sowers was again arrested for possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to another citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers responded to drug activity in a black Honda sedan. Sowers was identified as the driver and removed from the vehicle for questioning. A folded cigarette box was retrieved with suspected heroin inside. In the center console, a pink handbag containing multiple syringes and suspected heroin was also confiscated.
Sowers was arrested and taken to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for methampetamine
David Paul Puckett II, 35, of 113 Queensway Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 24 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Puckett was known to have an active warrant for his arrest, and a routine traffic stop was conducted on his vehicle. Puckett was placed under arrest for the warrant and officers located suspected methamphetamine in a baggie in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Puckett allegedly confirmed the drug was in fact methamphetamine and it belonged to him.
Puckett was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville woman arrested for methampetamine
Vondray Ann Soldanels, 35, of 2990 Sulphur Well Road in Nicholasville, was arrested April 24 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Soldanels was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation. It was confirmed that Soldanels had an active Jessamine County warrant for failure to pay. A search of Soldanels’ purse resulted in the confiscation of suspected methamphetamine. A glass pipe was also located, and Soldanels allegedly told officers it was her “meth pipe.” Two other pipes, a grinder and rolling papers were also located in a small makeup bag at the subjects feet.
Soldanels was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for heroin
Darryl W. Cook, 52, of 800 Beauford Place Apt. 9 in Nicholasville, was arrested April 26 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and promoting contraband, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to North Main Street in reference to an intoxicated subject. Cook allegedly told officers he was tired and was described as having constricted pupils, slurred speech and unsteady on his feet.
Upon arrival to the Jessamine County Detention Center, Cook was found to be in possession of two small baggies of a brown powdery substance believed to be heroin.
Cook was arrested, according to the citation.

— Daniel Rotunda, 38, of 448 Corman Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 18 for DUI.
— Johnny J. Mott, 36, of 86 Pam Drive in Lancaster, was arrested April 19 for non-payment of court costs and failure to appear.
— Eric A. Schwarz, 24, address unknown, was arrested April 19 for failure to appear and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
— Edward L. Carrol, 36, of 210 Kaye St. Apt. 10 in Berea, was arrested April 19 for failure to appear.
— Jason D. Schaefer, 42, of 400 John Sutherland Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 19 for DUI.
— Kami Barker, 40, of 1017 Palmetto Drive in Rich Pond, was arrested April 19 for DUI.
— Raymond Leevelle Kenion, 31, of 710 E. Chestnut St. in Nicholasville, was arrested April 20 for terroristic threatening.
— Jacob C. Carter, 33, of 104 Oakmont Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 20 for DUI and possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
— James C. Barnes, 40, of 1801 Yorktown Road in Lexington, was arrested April 20 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).
— Jefferey D. Blevins, 28, of 265 Vicksburg Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 20 for flagrant non-support.
— Rex Gardner, 40, of 500 Beauford Place Apt. 68 in Nicholasville, was arrested April 20 for a parole violation.
— Amanda S. Maddox, 36, of 500 Beauford Place Apt. 38 in Nicholasville, was arrested April 20 for failure to appear.
— Joshua A. Hager, 32, of 250 W. Loudon Ave. in Lexington, was arrested April 21 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).
— Jonathan W. King, 43, of 108 Northbrook Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested April 21 for failure to appear.
— Tamitha L. Himes, 35, of 555 Camp Daniel Boone Road in Nicholasville, was arrested April 21 for non-payment of court costs.
— Daniel Durham, 57, of 410 W. Walnut St. in Danville, was arrested April 22 for DUI and driving on a suspended license.
— Jose Arreola Ortega, 34, of 1028 Hickory Hill Road in Nicholasville, was arrested April 22 for first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse.
— Jose Perez-Ibarra, 33, of 2048 Daniel Court Apt. 3 in Lexington, was arrested April 22 for DUI and no operators license.
— Kate Deering, 28, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested April 22 for failure to pay.
