Nicholasville man arrested on possession of opiates
Cody C. Bain, 33, of 300 W. Ridge Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 19 for possession of a controlled substance (opiates), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Bain was arrested on an indictment warrant. Prior to entering the detention center, a secondary search was conducted. The search allegedly yielded a small cylinder containing 19 blue round pills marked with an “M” on one side and “30” on the other. Poison control identified the pills as Oxycodone.
After being read his rights, Bain stated the pills were for personal use, according to the citation.
Lexington man arrested for public intoxication
Loyd T. Godby, 44, of 28 Baron Ave. in Lexington, was arrested Feb. 19 for public intoxication of a controlled substance, according to a citation released by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department.
Employees at the Castle Jewelry reported a man passed out and unsteady on his feet
Deputies made contact with Godby and conducted a field sobriety test, which he failed. Godby told the officers he had taken something but could not remember what it was.
Godby was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Lancaster woman arrested for cocaine
Chastity Lynnae Kessler, 33, of 137 Lee Drive in Lancaster, was arrested Feb. 20 for first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
After being arrested for a Garrard County warrant, Kessler was warned several times about bringing any paraphernalia into the detention center because of items found in her vehicle. After being searched by jail staff, a bundle of white substance was recovered.
The substance appeared to be cocaine or heroin, and fell from Kessler’s bra strap, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for theft, fleeing police
Cameron S. Whitaker, 18, of 411 Longview Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 25 for fleeing or evading police, theft by unlawful taking under $500, receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers responded to Walmart on North Main Street to a shoplifter who had just left the scene. Officers were able to locate the subject running through the Peachtree and Orchard Drive area.
A search of the subject, identified as Whitaker, resulted in the confiscation of a baggie containing white rectangular pills suspected to be Xanax, and a large amount of cash. The two gold chains reported stolen from Walmart were also located. Whitaker left his keys on the jewelry counter, and Walmart Loss Prevention stated they saw Whitaker attempt to gain access to a red Chevy Cruze before fleeing on foot.
After further investigation, the red Chevy Cruze was found to be reported stolen. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and agreed to a search of the vehicle. Inside, marijuana, a scale, bags and a firearm were located, according to the citation.

— Glenn Quinn, 41, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Feb. 15 for failure to wear seatbelt and operating on a suspended operator’s license.
— Bobby Dummell, 44, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Feb. 15 for failure to appear.
— Clint Collins, 37, of 324 Foxwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 15 for failure to report.
— Carolyn Babbard, 30, of 42 McDowell Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 16 for contempt of court.
— Timothy Burgess, 30, of 42 McDowell in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 16 on a Scott County and Fayette County warrant and a probation violation.
— Mathew A. Joyce, 33, of 109 Hillcrest Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 17 for DUI.
— Ed Haygen, 74, of 2835 Pollard Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 17 for menacing, domestic citation and second-degree burglary.
— Rickie L Erlewein, 48, of 900 Orchard Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 18 for violation of a Kentucky emergency protection order and fourth-degree assault.
— Emmanuel Strange, 30, of 2202 Moross Road in Detroit, Michigan, was arrested Feb. 18 for trafficking in a controlled substance (opiates).
— Davis Juan Manuel, 63, of 2288 Mackay Pike in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 18 for failure to appear.
— Shawanda Siler, 41, of 517 Alta Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 19 for a probation violation.
— Michael S. King Jr., 30, of 313 Miles Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 19 for failure to appear.
— Mandy Ray Still, 34, of 534 Brown St. Apt. B in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 19 for violation of a Kentucky emergency protection order.
— Dejan Haddis, 33, of 1049 E. Main St. in Lexington, was arrested Feb. 19 for failure to pay.
— Shawanda Siler, 41, of 517 Alta Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 20 for no-payment of court costs.
— Billy Wayne Sparks, 30 of 529 Peachtree Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 20 for fourth-degree assault, a probation violation and failure to appear.

— Lakin M. Mulcahy, 25, of 259 Colts Run in Lancaster, was arrested Feb. 23 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.
— Luljeta Islami, 20, of 498 Pinoak Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 23 for non-payment of court costs and DUI.
— Brian Oppenhelmer, 25, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Feb. 23 for first-degree arson, first-degree wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault.
— William D. Weigle, 22, of 143 Allison Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 24 for violation of a Kentucky Emergency protection order.
— Justin Kyle Riester, 28, of 5131 Danville Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 24 for no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, DUI and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in vehicle.
— Datiera L. Walker, 24, of 1054 Pinoak Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 25 for failure to appear.
— Justin L. Sebastian, 39, of 1021 Pinoak Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 25 for fourth-degree assault.
