Nicholasville man arrested for public intoxication
Joseph L. Barnes, 37, of 106 Virginia Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 16 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to Speedway in regard to Barnes being under the influence inside he store. When officers spoke with Barnes, they described him as very energetic, according to the citation.
Barnes was unable to sit still, erratic and raising his voice. The clerk told officers she witnessed Barnes talking to his merchandise when he was purchasing it.
Barnes was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Georgetown man arrested for possession of marijuana
John R. McFarland, 27, of 110 Robin Road in Georgetown, was arrested Feb. 16 for public intoxication and possession of marijuana, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers saw McFarland step out of his vehicle in the parking lot of Lowes. McFarland was described as having erratic movements, slurred speech and was unable to stand while speaking with officers, according to the citation.
McFarland reportedly told officers he had marijuana in his shirt pocket.
McFarland was arrested and transported to the Jessamine county Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for DUI
Kristopher Brannon Wallace, 27, of 219 Imperial PT in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 17 for DUI, second-degree wanton endangerment and booster seat violations, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Wallace was seen traveling north on US 27 and failing to stay in his lane. Wallace was also seen changing lanes and failing to signal. He was described as having glassy eyes, according to the citation.
A field sobriety test was performed, and Wallace used his arms for balance, stepped off the line on walk down, stumbled while turning, asked if he needed to walk back and then stumbled again while doing so, according to the citation.
Wallace was transported to St. Joseph Jessamine for a blood test. Wallace had a juvenile in the front passenger seat not in a proper restraint system.Wallace was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for methamphetamine
Joe Angel, 42, of 104 N. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 14 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Angel was observed by a clerk at Speedway located at 415 N. Main St. Angel was told by officers not to enter the store, but did not listen. While speaking with Angel, officers asked if they could conduct a search. Angel agreed, and officers located a black sunglass case in his left pant leg with a syringe and small bag of suspected methamphetamine.
Angel was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville woman arrested for theft
Angela Johns, 34, of 800 Beauford Place Apt. 3 in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 14 for theft by unlawful taking under $500, theft of identity of another without consent and first-degree promoting contraband, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Johns was seen concealing multiple items by Kohls loss prevention associates. Johns passed all points of purchase without paying for the items. She was stopped by loss prevention with the total amount of the items taken equaling $117.05.
When asked for identification, Johns gave a Social Security number and stated a name which was not her own, according to the citation.
Johns was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center. During a search at the center, the deputy jailer located a small bag of suspected methamphetamine. Johns allegedly told officers the substance was methamphetamine, according to the citation.

— Anthony Current, 39, of 150 Forrest Elliott in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 11 for failure to appear.
— John Culver, 36, of 263 Kimbly in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 11 for contempt, operating on a suspended or revoked license and theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000.
— Joshua Adam Freitas, 26, of 610 Elmwood Drive in Richmond, was arrested Feb. 11 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Jill R. Bruner, 41, of 303 Courchelle Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 11 for non-payment of court costs.
— Theresa Marie Rice, 41, of 118 Baybrook Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 11 for non-payment of court costs.
— Mark C. Shelby, 48, of 770 Claunch Road in Perryville, was arrested Feb. 11 for failure to appear.
— Shawn Glover, 29, of 205 Hood Lane in Lebanon, was arrested Feb. 12 for first-degree unlawful imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, second-degree burglary, wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening, first-degree burglary, criminal mischief, violation of a Kentucky emergency protection order and fleeing or evading police.
— Charles Hubbard Jr., 29, of 100 Pineview Trail Parkway Apt. 34 in Cumberland, was arrested Feb. 12 for failure to appear.
— Don Adams, 35, of 1481 Hall Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 12 for contempt.
— Gregory Casey, 30, of 126 Christopher in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 12 for second-degree arson and third-degree burglary.
— Christopher C. Ray, 22, of 120 Petunia Court in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 12 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Chaney Johnathan, 47, homeless, was arrested Feb. 12 for fourth-degree assault.
— Marcus Collins, 20, of 1365 Greendale Road in Lexington, was arrested Feb. 12 for DUI.
— Loren Gordon, 53, of 103 Richmond Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 12 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Abdel Razzqm Hejazi, 29, of 174 N. Locust Hill Drive Apt. 1112 in Lexington, was arrested Feb. 12 for failure to appear and driving on a suspended license.
— William K. Dowell, 39, of 130 Imperial Point in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 12 for non-payment of court costs.
— Angela D. Fulwider, 43, homeless, was arrested Feb. 13 for failure to appear.
— Mark A. Brown, 33, of 2980 Pollard Pike in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 13 for failure to appear.

— William Slugantz, 18, of 32600 Vince Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 16 for alcohol intoxication in a public place and fleeing or evading police.
— Maegan E. Goldey, 26, of 101 Ilhardt Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 16 for failure to appear and fourth-degree assault.
— Cody L. Warner, 24, of 200 S. Fifth St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 17 for no registration plates, reckless driving and DUI.
— Kristy C. Campbell, 40, of 33 Garden Park Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Feb. 17 for operating on a suspended or revoked license.
