Berea man charged with murder after Jessamine accident

Following an investigation by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office, a Jessamine County Grand Jury has indicted 26-year-old Brian Lawson of Berea.
Lawson is charged with murder, DUI and receiving stolen property (firearm).
The charges stem from a single-vehicle collision on Tates Creek Road that occurred Nov. 29.
In that collision, Lawson was operating a 2003 Chevy passenger car when he lost control and left the roadway, striking a tree.
As a result, the passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Cassie L. Foley, died.
At this time, Lawson is in the Madison County Detention Center on local charges.
His bail on the Jessamine County charges is set at $50,000 cash.
