Lexington woman arrested for identity theft
Angela D. Rowe, 53, of 340 Redding Road Apt. 1 in Lexington, was arrested Sept. 14 for a Fayette County warrant, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft of identity of another without consent, according to a citation issued by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies made contact with Rowe (who stated her name was Karen Preston) inside a vacant RV, listing a social security number which was later confirmed as invalid. Rowe was again asked several times what her name was and continued to state it was Karen Preston.
Rowe consented to a search of her purse where deputies located a picture ID of Rowe along with two checks from Central Bank that Rowe had allegedly altered. Rowe stated the checks were stolen. She was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for assault
Darrell E. McKinney, 35, of 201 Imperial Pointe in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 13 for fourth-degree assault, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched concerning a domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival, the victim met officers outside of the residence and claimed McKinney woke up in a rage and began destroying property in the house. McKinney then began to throw the victim around the residence and punch them in the stomach.
The victim allegedly had some redness on their stomach, chest and arms. The victim also stated McKinney threw them against the banister striking the middle of their back and causing discomfort. McKinney was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville woman arrested for child abuse
Paulette Powell, 53, of 124 Griffin Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 14 for fourth-degree assault (child abuse), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
The victim came home from school with a note stating they had been talking too much in class. For punishment, Powell allegedly used a plastic glow stick to strike the victim at least three times across the lower part of their left leg leaving several bruises.
Powell was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.
Nicholasville man arrested for DUI
Sean D. Russ, 48, of 408 Platt Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 14 for a first-offense DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.
A vehicle was observed taking off from a stop improperly after turning on North Main Street from East Oak Street. The driver also failed to signal. Upon making contact, Russ allegedly had slurred speech and red glossy eyes. Upon exiting the vehicle, Russ was described as unsteady on his feet.
Russ allegedly advised officers he drank alcohol, the last drink being 10 minutes prior to driving. A field sobriety test was performed, which Russ failed. Russ was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Destanie Taylor Jones, 29, of 617 Ridgeview Drive in Frankfort, was arrested Sept. 7 for a parole violation.
— Michael T. Halsey, 25, of 109 Twilight Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 7 for receiving stolen property under $10,000, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
— Julie Lynn Marin, 60, of 1438 Red Maple Drive in Waynesville, was arrested Sept. 7 for non-payment of court costs.
— William J. Brock, 47, of 113 Old Wilmore Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 7 for non—payment of court costs.
— Eric Ray Sampson, 27, of 1225 Embry Ave. Apt. B in Lexington, was arrested Sept. 7 for second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.
— Michael Poindexter, 38, of 625 S. Central Ave, in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for failure to appear.
— Lesia A. White, 48, of 104 S. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.
— McKenzie N. Cokonaugher, 19, of 335 Imperial Pt. in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for contempt of court.
— Drew A. Bradd, 20, of 414 Laurel Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for carrying a concealed weapon and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
— Richard Thurman May, 48, of 104 Duncan St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree assault.
— Trevor Allan Pinkston, 26, of 123 Ballard St. in Harrodsburg, was arrested Sept. 8 for DUI.
— Grant T. Simpson, 32, of 205 Basspond Glenn Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for second-degree burglary, second-degree disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— George T. Simpson, 43, of 255 Williamsburg Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 8 for second-degree burglary, second-degree disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Patricia Lynn Brown, 48, of 256 Bernie Trail in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 9 for DUI and no registration plates.
— Brittany Jolly, 30, of 432 Miles Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 9 for failure to appear.
— William Scott Latham, 47, of 132 Pheasant Run in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 9 for fourth-degree assault.
— Joseph Burnes, 37, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Sept. 10 for a parole violation.
— Terri King, 29, of 1149 Armstrong Mill in Lexington, was arrested Sept. 10 for failure to appear.
— Phillips Usbias, 31, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Sept. 10 for being a fugitive from another state.

— James Andrew Miller, 35, of 116 Ware Blvd. in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 14 for a probation violation.
— Timothy Wanye Royse, 50, of 263 Leedean Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Sept. 15 for first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy.
