Nicholasville United Methodist announces VBS

Nicholasville United Methodist Church, located at 303 W. Maple St., will have its vocational Bible school for preschool to fifth graders from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 4 to 7. Free bread for those in need on Sundays

The Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread from Panera Bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. All are welcome.

Crossword Baptist Church announces VBS

Crossword Baptist Church, located at 4991 Harrodsburg Road, announced it will hold it vocational Bible school from 6 – 9 p.m., June 3 – 7, with a family night scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. on June 8. Wilmore Free Methodist Church hosts series on healing children

Wilmore Free Methodist Church, located at 1200 Lexington Road, will host a four-week series for parents, teachers and care givers on healing children through trust and relationships. The series will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evenings starting May 2. It will feature video training from Dr. Karyn Purvis, as well as a group discussion. Children are welcome to come and participate in the church’s children’s ministry which will also meet at that time. All are welcome.

Bethel Harvest Church food distribution event

The Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Road, announced it will host a food distribution the fourth Saturday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m. The event is free to all Jessamine County residents who present a county ID.

Low-impact exercise at Providence Christian Church

The Providence Christian Church, located at 101 Providence Way, hosts a “Bodies in Motion” low-impact exercise class every Monday, Wednesday  and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. All are welcome.
