Like counties all across the nation, Jessamine County has its share of families that could use a hand as the holiday season of 2017 rolls in.

The Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce and The Salvation Army are asking for community members with the means to do so to offer a donation toward helping out the 250 families in need this Christmas.

Donations of canned goods and non-perishable items may be dropped off at the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce office located at 116 S. Main Street in Nicholasville. These donations will be accepted from Monday, Nov. 27 until Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Monetary donations are needed as well to fund the purchase of perishable items. Checks should be made out to The Salvation Army. All monetary donations are tax-deductible.

Any size of donation will be appreciated. Help make this Christmas a Christmas for a local family in need.
