John and Lois MacGregor celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean right before Hurricane Irma.

John and Lois were married in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 2, 1967. They have two daughters, Hyla Stellhorn and Amber Lakin, as well as four grandsons: Luke Lakin and Jackson, Dutch and Crosby Stellhorn.

John is employed by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Resources as the state herpetologist, and Lois retired after 39 years as a teacher for Jessamine County Schools.
